UV-400 is a triazine liquid UV absorber used in the paint industry. Due to the following characteristics, it performs in the paint:

UV-400 is recommended for use in automotive OEM coatings and repair paints catalyzed by amine or metal. If UV-400 is used in combination with hindered amine light stabilizers such as TINUVIN 292 or TINUVIN 123, its efficiency can be significantly improved. This synergistic effect has a good inhibiting effect on the reduction of gloss, cracking, bubbling, delamination and discoloration of clear varnish.
The best effect and the amount of addition should be determined by a series of tests.
Recommended addition (relative to solid resin)
1.0 - 3.0% UV-400
In addition, 0.5-2.0% UV-292 or UV-123 can be added
