What is a bright dispersing lubricant?

Literal interpretation, in layman's terms, this additive refers to an additive that increases the surface glossiness of a product and enhances its dispersibility and lubricity during processing. This article mainly explains the following types of additives: TAS-2A.

The bright dispersing lubricant TAS-2A additive has a unique structure, resulting in good dispersibility and compatibility.

TAS-2A is used in color masterbatch, which has excellent dispersibility, bright surface and uniform color on the masterbatch.

When using TAS-2A for pigment color matching, it has strong dispersibility and coloring power, and reduces costs.

When TAS-2A is used in PP blend systems, its product exhibits excellent notch impact strength and bending strength properties, and its lubricity is superior to other types of lubricants.

Plastic additive TAS-2A is a product with a unique structure, which has good dispersibility for pigments (especially carbon black, phthalocyanine blue, phthalocyanine green), fillers (titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, talc powder), flame retardants, pearl powders, etc.

It also has good compatibility and lubricity with various resins (polyolefin, ABS, PS, PVC). At present, this product has been widely used in polyolefins Plastic color masterbatch such as ABS, PS, PVC, polypropylene color masterbatch, flame retardant masterbatch, pearl masterbatch, high gloss PP filling modified materials, and nano scale titanium dioxide filling and dispersing additives have gained increasing recognition from users for their unique comprehensive and excellent performance.

Technical indicators:

  • Appearance: White or slightly yellow powder and granules (fine powder grade of 100 mesh, 95% pass), insoluble in solvents such as water, ethanol, acetone, and carbon tetrachloride at room temperature, but soluble in hot halogenated hydrocarbons, acid resistant, alkaline, and non-toxic.
  • Melting point: ≥ 65℃
  • Color: ≤ 5.0Gardner
  • Heating reduction: ≤ 0.5wt%
  • Flash point: ≥ 275℃
  • Acid value: ≤ 10.0mg KOH/g
  • Thermogravimetric analysis: 250 ℃ ≤ 1.8wt%, 300 ℃ ≤ 4.8wt% (under nitrogen protection)

Product features:

  1. TAS-2A is particularly prominent in the dispersion of high filling pigments in colorants (ABS, PS, PP, PE, PVC colorants).
  2. TAS-2A can play a certain role as a compatibilizer in the filling of talc powder system. Reducing the amount of coupling agent by half or not adding it is particularly effective in high gloss PP.
  3. TAS-2A has advantages in flame retardant high filling systems, and significantly improves melt index in bromine based, Al (0H) 3, Mg (OH) 2 flame retardant systems.
  4. Color masterbatch for polypropylene and nylon spinning has excellent performance, reduces screen changing time, and is not easily broken.

a. The processing performance is superior to other dispersants.

b. Efficiency: A dosage that is 30% -40% lower can achieve the same effect as the dispersant.

c. High glossiness.

TAS-2A in ABS:
Can improve the formability and processability of masterbatch

Can improve the processing flowability of ABS flame retardant masterbatch

Improve the processing flowability of ABS masterbatch

Can improve the appearance smoothness of ABS products

Not affecting or appropriately improving some mechanical properties of ABS flame retardant products

The effect is particularly evident for some difficult to disperse pigments

TAS-2A in PP:
TAS-2A dispersant can effectively disperse pigments and flame retardants in the manufacturing of plastic masterbatch and flame retardant masterbatch, improving the flowability and formability of plastic masterbatch and flame retardant masterbatch during use.

In the manufacturing of high filling modified PP plastics, improving the surface gloss and mechanical properties of high filling modified PP plastics. Compared with other plastic lubricants, it has lower melt torque and higher surface gloss.

Purpose:
1. Polypropylene spinning, color masterbatch for non-woven fabrics, color masterbatch for high filling and difficult to disperse pigments.

2. PP and other talc powder are used to fill and modify CaC03, and the modification effect is also quite outstanding.

3. Automotive interior parts and bumpers.

4. ABS, PS, P and other flame retardant materials, aluminum-plastic panel industry, and home appliance industry.

5. Dispersants are used in the wood plastic industry to improve fluidity and increase brightness.
